HCPP is a seven week mentorship program, centered on health career exploration, college readiness and leadership development , for underrepresented and minority ninth and tenth grade high school students from urban and rural communities in the West-Michigan region. Students and mentors will meet for 90 minutes, weekly for seven weeks. GVSU students ordered to stay in place for 2 weeks
At GVSU, the students are easy to get along with. The fourth floor of the library is a silent sanctuary for students, so if you want literally everyone to hate your guts, go here and eat the loudest snack possible. Not only will you be shushed more times than your tuition costs, but everyone and their mother will glare at you and hope you fall off the Little Mak. Students have the right of way! Once you get in your car, you better put the key in the ignition and drive away faster than the cheerleading team can spell G-V-S-U. This should speak for itself.
For students at GVSU’s College of Education, getting an A is the norm

Speed dating is a formalized matchmaking process which has the purpose of encouraging eligible singles to meet large numbers of new potential partners in a very short period of time. Usually advance registration is required for speed dating events. Men and women are rotated to meet each other over a series of short "dates" usually lasting from three to eight minutes depending on the organization running the event. At the end of each interval, the organizer rings a bell, clinks a glass, or blows a whistle to signal the participants to move on to the next date. At the end of the event participants submit to the organizers a list of who they would like to provide their contact information to.
