Sydneysiders have been doing what they can to cope with the intense heat on Tuesday - including one man on Bondi Beach who dared to don nothing more than a unique black G-string for swimwear. His bare-faced cheek clearly caught fellow beach-goers unaware on a seriously scorching late summer's day. One man in blue shorts is seen coming to a shuddering halt as he spots the swimmer approaching on the sand. The lightly-clad bather seems to have gone for a swim to cool off after an early morning jog. Scroll down for video.
Video of three correctional services guards in the NT grabbing a year-old boy by the neck and forcibly stripping him. ABC broadcast the footage this week after a Supreme Court justice upheld a prior ruling that the guards did not use unreasonable or excessive force. It shows three guards entering a small cell in Alice Springs, taking the child by the neck and turning his head away before dropping him facedown onto a mattress. The guard pins him by the head as another guard pulls off his shorts and underpants, then holds him down with his knees across his naked buttocks. Afterwards the boy is seen stalking around the cell and throwing his torn-up mattress at the CCTV camera in visible distress. Restraint is only ever used as a last resort in situations where there is a threat to an inmate or staff, said Corrections Minister Robyn Lambley.
